I feel a little lost.
We've got two months or so before we head out to the other side of the world. The house looks like a tip and I'm wondering exactly how much stuff we've got to get rid of. One car boot has already made us over 60 quid (Ooooooooooo!) and we're gonna do another one next week. We're doing a little each day but it's a rather strange feeling. It's like getting ready to move house but not actually having anywhere to go. Clare's a lot more on top of things than I am and a hell of a lot more proactive. She always has been. That's one of the many, many things that makes her great!

I'm thinking about what I need to keep and what needs to be sold, it's a rather dull process. TV, DVD player, CD's & DVD. They're the first four things on my 'keep list'. How sad is that. 30 years on this planet and the most important things for me to keep is electrical goods. I must have something more life defining to keep? No........nope that's it. Sentimental objects.............home entertainment is thy name. Not exactly something you're gonna see on the Antiques Roadshow is it.

It's still doesn't seem real that we're going. Work doesn't know yet and I'm booking in events and meetings knowing full well that I'm not going to be there to fulfill them.
It makes me smile.
It's really quite liberating to take on such a frivolous attitude to my work, but as I don't really like it, who gives a shit. Knowing that I'm actually going to leave is like a bright shining light at the end of the tunnel. It's pretty small at the moment but it's getting bigger ever day. I should have left this place two years ago, but due to bad luck, stupidity and laziness I'm still 'Institutionalised'.
As I'm writing this, I can hear the muppet next door. Well, there's actually two of them, a couple. They don't really speak. I believe she's a primary school teacher which surely just means she has to stop kids from swallowing paint and eating sticky back plastic. They occasionally say hello but really they're kinda weird. The only thing you can hear from him is a kind of prehistoric scream when he's gaming (I think) or, as I've deduced, when Newcastle score. Luckily, that doesn't happen often!
People keep saying that this is going to be a year of change and it's certainly shaping up that way.
Two months to go. This is gonna be interesting
