Working in the public sector in Oz, things are really relaxed. You can wear jeans if you're not in meetings, work flexi time etc. We've also all got MP3 players on, but Aussie English boss has gone a step further than most and got a speaker system with hers so she can play it out loud so everyone can hear. EVERYONE!
I've walked in this morning and booming out was Last night at the proms, Land of Hope and Glory and she's actually saluting! "Here you are Mark, doesn't this make it feel like home"
Yea. We're always playing Land of Hope and Glory round our way. We also wear union jack shorts, hankies on our head and get round an old piano to sing Roll out the Barrel as well.
She then announced that she was gonna really wind 'them Aussies' up (OF WHICH SHE IS ONE!!!!!) and she duly cranked up the sound and put on Rule Britannia. Out came the salute again.
